Bill Bailey has been transformed into a Dwarven adventurer for World of Warcraft: Planet Azeroth, a three-part comedy documentary set in the game’s fantasy universe. The series follows Bailey as he explores some of Azeroth’s best-known locations, including the forests of Elwynn and the frozen wilderness of Winterspring.
The first two episodes are now available through the official World of Warcraft YouTube channel. The third and final instalment is scheduled to arrive on Sunday, November 8.
Bailey said he had long been fascinated by the natural world, but described Azeroth as an unusual experience because of its extraordinary creatures and striking landscapes. He added that the adventure was enjoyable and, unlike many nature documentaries, left him dry and free from bites.
Planet Azeroth arrives ahead of World of Warcraft: Forever, which is due for release on Wednesday, November 4. Announced at BlizzCon 2026 in September, the game is set during the first year of World of Warcraft’s chronological timeline, while taking a different direction from the ongoing online role-playing title. It includes new and expanded zones, gameplay enhancements, upgraded graphics and additional content.
Holly Longdale, executive producer of World of Warcraft, said players had spent more than 20 years connecting with Azeroth’s landscapes, mysteries, creatures and stories. She described Planet Azeroth as a fitting way to present the world through a new perspective, praising Bailey’s curiosity, humour and sense of wonder as qualities that make him an effective guide for both longtime players and newcomers.
