Deep Purple have postponed the remaining dates of their European and UK tour after frontman Ian Gillan was hospitalized following a health emergency in Leipzig. The singer said continuing the tour would pose serious risks, and the decision was made on the advice of his medical team and management.

Gillan announced the postponement on the band’s social media accounts, thanking fans for their messages of support. He said his health problem required urgent hospital treatment and that he had hoped to receive clearance to complete the tour.

The announcement follows the cancellation of two German shows: in Leipzig on Saturday, October 31, and in Hamburg on Sunday, November 1. The band had initially cited a medical emergency involving Gillan but did not provide further details about his condition.

Gillan apologized for the disruption and said postponing the remaining dates was the best decision. The tour has been delayed until further notice.
