Desert Age: A Rock and Roll Scene History will return in a 10th anniversary edition, with a special screening scheduled for November 7 at Festival Theaters in Palm Springs, California. The re-release will become available online through Jgeorgiades.com on November 20.

The new edition includes previously unseen photographs and audio focused on Black Flag’s historic 1981 performance in Palm Springs. Director Jason Georgiades also shared an archival photo gallery featuring Black Flag, Kyuss—including a young Josh Homme—and other artists from the film.

The Palm Springs screening will be followed by a Q&A hosted by writer and anthropologist Natasha Berenek. Participants include Mario Lalli, Brant Bjork, Sean Wheeler, Sophia Possidon, Georgiades and producer Trevar Cushing.

Originally released in 2016 after an IndieGoGo campaign, the documentary traces the desert-rock scene through interviews and performance footage. Its featured artists include Josh Homme, Dave Grohl, Brant Bjork, Nick Oliveri, Jesse Hughes, Mario Lalli, Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age, Fu Manchu and Eagles of Death Metal, as well as Target 13, Mutual Hatred, Dead Issue and Across the River.
