Democrats’ midterm victory has prompted online sellers to roll out merchandise celebrating the party’s success. The party took control of the House and Senate on Tuesday night, and election-themed products have appeared on sites including Etsy and Amazon.
The offerings range from Democratic Party apparel and accessories to novelty items and more pointed political messages. Examples include a dad hat embroidered with the party’s donkey symbol, a “Democracy Matters” sweatshirt and a mug featuring a driving-inspired voting metaphor.
Some products take a more humorous approach. Amazon sells a “Change the President” dish towel, while an Etsy candle listing jokes that Santa might fix what the election did not. Sellers also offer “Talafreako” tees, adding to the mix of merchandise aimed at Democrats and supporters of democracy.
The products include clothing, kitchen goods and gifts, with some listings offering choices such as sweatshirt or hoodie styles, multiple candle scents and an unscented option.
