Filming has started in Milan on Atti osceni in luogo privato, a feature based on Marco Missiroli’s bestselling novel, published by Feltrinelli in 2015. Adriano Valerio is directing, with a screenplay by Valerio and Chiara Barzini and artistic consultancy from Missiroli.
Filippo Scotti plays Libero, the story’s central character. The international cast also includes Monica Bellucci as Mme Marsell, Romana Maggiora Vergano as Anna, Cédric Kahn as M. Marsell and Nadia Tereszkiewicz as Marie.
The six-week shoot is scheduled to take place in Milan and Paris. I Wonder Pictures is set to distribute the film in cinemas in 2027.
The story follows Libero Marsell from the age of 14, when an encounter involving his mother and his father’s best friend shapes his first experience of sexuality. His journey takes him from Deauville to Paris and Milan, through his father’s sudden death and a troubled relationship with his mother. He also meets Lunette, who confronts him with the possibility of love and his own darker impulses, before developing a deep bond with Anna.
The film is produced by K+Film and Indiana Production, in association with Rai Cinema and with the participation of HBO Max. Proxima Milano is also involved, with a contribution from the Lombardy Region and support from the Lombardy Film Commission.
