Fontaines D.C. has earned its first radio chart No. 1 as “Marianne” rises to the top of Billboard’s Adult Alternative AirPlay chart dated Nov. 7. The track is the lead single from the band’s album Dopamine Chamber, which reached No. 1 on an overall Billboard chart the previous week, according to the source report.
“Marianne” reached No. 1 after gaining 4% in plays during the Oct. 23–29 tracking week, according to Luminate. The single also gives XL Recordings its fourth Adult Alternative Airplay No. 1. The label’s previous leaders were Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep,” “Rumour Has It” and “Hello.”
On Alternative Airplay, “Marianne” remains at its peak of No. 16 for a third consecutive week, with spins up 5%. Dopamine Chamber debuted at No. 1 on the Independent Albums, Indie Store Album Sales and Vinyl Albums charts dated Oct. 31.
