Four Tet has produced a hazy tech-house remix of “Your Shadow at Morning,” a track from the Durutti Column’s 2026 album, Renascent. The remix follows a renewed period of interest in the Manchester band, whose previous album had been released in 2010.
The Durutti Column, the project led by Vini Reilly, has influenced artists including Harry Styles, Blood Orange and the Avalanches. Four Tet said he discovered the band’s catalogue only in the last couple of years and that it had a “big impact” on him.
He added that he was excited when the new album was announced. Being asked to remix a song, he said, felt as if “the universe was confirming I was connected to this music.”
