Lily Allen has turned criticism surrounding her West End Girl live shows into a Halloween joke. The singer dressed in a blue, spotty onesie and jacket inspired by “blue-dot fever,” a term used for Ticketmaster seating maps showing large numbers of unsold tickets.

The costume follows changes to Allen’s tour behind West End Girl. The initial UK run, titled Lily Allen Performs West End Girl, was planned for smaller venues and theaters, reflecting a stripped-back format centered on performing the album. Strong early demand led to the itinerary expanding into arenas, including dates in the United States and elsewhere.

Once the tour began, some fans criticized the presentation, which largely consisted of a full performance of the album without additional elements. Allen defended the approach on X, saying that avoiding interaction with the audience was an artistic choice intended to support the storytelling. She also said she was proud of the work being done to deliver the best possible show and did not want anyone to feel misled.

Two weeks later, Allen reduced the scale of the North American itinerary, moving several dates from larger arenas to smaller venues and from small arenas to amphitheaters. A planned Montreal concert was canceled, while a Seattle show was added.

Sharing a photo of her Halloween outfit on Instagram, Allen acknowledged the situation with the caption “Never beating the allegations” and the hashtag “#bluedotfever.”
