Maurizio Zoja’s new book, Kimi. Come nasce un campione, explores the career of Andrea Kimi Antonelli, described as a natural talent who reached the Formula 1 world title at the age of 20. Published by Edizioni Limina, the 192-page sports biography will be released on November 10 at a price of €14.90.
The book reconstructs Antonelli’s development through previously unpublished material and exclusive interviews. Its account focuses not only on lap times and victories, but also on discipline, mistakes, family support and the pressure surrounding a young driver competing at the highest level.
Zoja follows Antonelli from his first karting experiences under the guidance of his father, Marco, to his entry into the Mercedes young-driver programme. Each stage of the career is presented as part of a wider story shaped by decisive races, coincidences and turning points.
The biography also looks at Antonelli’s place in a new generation of drivers raised in an increasingly global and popular form of motorsport. It recalls the moment when, at 12, he met his idol Lewis Hamilton at Monza, and connects that early admiration with his later historic victory at the Italian circuit in a car previously driven by the British champion.
Zoja portrays Antonelli as a driver able to handle enormous expectations while retaining his naturalness, humility and determination. The book presents his rise through friendships, rivalries, fear and ambition, alongside the broader Italian hope of returning to the top of international motor racing.
