My Chemical Romance’s The Black Parade has reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 dated Nov. 7, 2026, rising from No. 139 in its 162nd week on the chart. The album’s original edition had come close to the top when it was released in 2006, debuting at No. 2 behind the Hannah Montana soundtrack.

The latest boost came from The Black Parade (20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition). The expanded release adds six tracks to the standard album’s 14 songs, including three B-sides from the era and three live recordings.

When The Black Parade first entered the Billboard 200 top 10, in the week of Nov. 11, 2006, My Chemical Romance was one of five rock bands represented. The Killers, Nickelback, Hinder and Evanescence were also in the top 10 that week. The chart’s lineup spanned artists from 13-year-old Miley Cyrus, associated with the Hannah Montana soundtrack, to 80-year-old Tony Bennett.

The Killers’ Sam’s Town reached No. 2, while Nickelback’s All the Right Reasons, Evanescence’s The Open Door and the Hannah Montana soundtrack each went to No. 1. Hinder’s debut, Extreme Behavior, peaked at No. 6, and Justin Timberlake’s FutureSex/LoveSounds, Diddy’s Press Play and John Legend’s Once Again reached No. 1, No. 1 and No. 3, respectively. Bennett’s Duets: An American Classic peaked at No. 3.

Several of those albums produced major Hot 100 hits. FutureSex/LoveSounds generated four top-10 singles, including three No. 1s: “SexyBack,” “My Love” and “What Goes Around…Comes Around.” Nickelback’s album produced three top-10 hits—“Photograph,” “Far Away” and “Rockstar”—while Diddy’s Press Play yielded two. Other songs from the albums included Evanescence’s “Call Me When You’re Sober,” Hinder’s “Lips of an Angel,” and My Chemical Romance’s “Welcome to the Black Parade,” which reached No. 9 on the Hot 100.

The Black Parade was My Chemical Romance’s third studio album and its second to reach the Billboard 200 top 10. Produced by Rob Cavallo and the band, it also earned a Grammy nomination for Gerard Way in the category for best boxed or special limited edition package. The group has not yet received a Grammy nomination for its music.
