Paratissima has concluded its 22nd edition with more than 13,000 visitors. The event, held for the second time in Moncalieri, presented works by over 400 artists through a programme spanning original productions, residencies and performances.

The value of sales remained broadly in line with the previous edition, although fewer artworks were sold. The event involved 180 people, including staff, collaborators and volunteers.

Organisers said Paratissima is designed to bring contemporary art to a broad audience, extending beyond industry professionals and collectors. Attendance declined compared with the previous edition, which they attributed to a complex climate for the cultural sector.

Cecilia Di Blasi, chief executive of Prs Impresa Sociale, and Matteo Scavetta, project manager and partner at the organisation, said the attendance figures would be examined in light of the wider historical context. They reaffirmed their intention to continue evolving, experimenting and creating new opportunities for contemporary art.

The reopening of the Collegio Carlo Alberto as a cultural venue, begun with Paratissima in 2025 and continued this year in cooperation with the municipal administration, reflects the event’s ongoing effort to promote unconventional spaces through art.

The connection with Moncalieri was also strengthened by Art in the City, a distributed project involving more than 30 locations. It brought contemporary art into the city’s streets, businesses and everyday public spaces.
