The second season of “Quelli che il Cinema” will arrive exclusively on RaiPlay on November 6, bringing the experiences and perspectives of students at Rome’s Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia to the screen. The program is created and hosted by Andrea Piersanti, with Federica Gentile participating, and is produced by Rai Contenuti Digitali e Transmediali.

The series puts the students at the center, exploring their ambitions, creative work and the challenges they face as they seek a place in the film and arts industries. Rai executive Marcello Ciannamea said the new season follows the success of the first and aims to speak to younger audiences by giving students the chance to share their experiences directly.

Piersanti said the team conducted around 150 interviews to bring forward voices largely absent from television archive material over the past 50 years. The season also includes a special episode on how young people deal with anxiety.

The program follows students as they train in fields including directing, acting, cinematography, editing and production. Their instructors include actor Alba Rohrwacher, director Paolo Strippoli, cinematographer Beppe Lanci and hairstylist Andrea Pegoretti.
