Robin Finck, a guitarist with decades of experience performing with Nine Inch Nails and Guns N' Roses, is preparing to sell a significant portion of his personal instrument collection. Starting next week, the Official Robin Finck Reverb Shop will open its virtual doors on November 11, offering roughly 200 items for purchase rather than auction.

Among the most notable instruments available is a Gibson Les Paul '60 Reissue Goldtop nicknamed "Old Gold." Finck joined Nine Inch Nails in 1994 and utilized this specific guitar during the band's muddy performance at Woodstock '94, in the music video for "March of the Pigs," and throughout the Self Destruct tour. He continued to play this instrument on every Nine Inch Nails tour he participated in through 2014. Finck noted that on the day the "March of the Pigs" video was shot, the band had never performed live in front of an audience, describing the moment as a time when his world was about to tilt. He emphasized that this is the only guitar from 1994 that survived intact despite being his most frequently played instrument.

The sale also includes a translucent white 1990 Gibson Les Paul Custom, which holds deep sentimental value for the musician. Finck stated that it was the only guitar he possessed when he first joined Nine Inch Nails and has been his favored instrument for over 35 years. He explained that while he genuinely used and enjoyed all the pieces in the collection, he ended up with multiple copies of some instruments. Consequently, he is selling them to save space, noting that he no longer needs duplicates after having the fortune to play them on stages worldwide.

In addition to his Gibson and Fender guitars used with both Nine Inch Nails and Guns N' Roses, Finck is offering a Fano Alt de Facto PX6 guitar. This instrument was used during the filming of the band's scene in Twin Peaks: The Return. Finck expressed his admiration for David Lynch and described the unique experience of being on set while Lynch directed from his collapsible canvas chair. The collection also features several effects and fuzz pedals, including a DOD FX25 Envelope Filter that was used to record Guns N' Roses' track "Better." Interested buyers are advised to shop early as these instruments are being sold directly rather than through an auction process.
