Tame Impala and JENNIE’s “Dracula” reached a new streaming high on Halloween, earning 2.8 million official on-demand streams in the United States on Oct. 31, according to Luminate. The total was nearly 40% above the song’s previous single-day record of just over 2 million streams, set on April 6.

The Halloween total also marked a 56% increase from the 1.8 million streams “Dracula” received on Oct. 31 the previous year. Compared with the 1.1 million streams it drew on Saturday, Oct. 24, the latest figure was up 148%.

Originally released on Tame Impala’s October 2025 album “Deadbeat,” the song has become a major hit in 2026. It reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and had spent the year on the chart as of the week dated Nov. 7. A remix featuring JENNIE, released in February, helped propel the track to wider pop success.

Although “Dracula” is a romantic lament rather than a horror story, its title, synths and eerie vocal hook have made it a fit for Halloween playlists. Its Oct. 31 streams remained below those of established seasonal hits: Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” earned 10 million, “Monster Mash” collected 7 million and “Ghostbusters” drew 6.6 million.

Among spooky-themed songs released in the 21st century, however, “Dracula” led the comparison cited by Billboard. It outperformed Rihanna’s “Disturbia,” with 2 million streams, Lady Gaga’s “Bloody Mary,” with 1.4 million, and Nelly Furtado’s “Maneater,” with 1 million.

The song also had strong radio play, topping the Radio Songs chart for seven weeks and counting. Billboard said the Halloween boost could put “Dracula” in contention for a new Hot 100 peak in its 58th week on the chart, depending on how much of the increase it sustains through the week.
