The Tony Awards will remain on CBS through 2032, extending a broadcast partnership that began in 1978. The renewal comes ahead of the ceremony’s 80th anniversary in 2027.
The 80th Annual Tony Awards will air live to both coasts on Sunday, June 13, 2027, and stream in the United States on Paramount+ Premium. The producers have not yet announced a host for the show.
Raj Kapoor, Sarah Levine Hall and Jack Sussman are set to return as producers. Kapoor and Levine Hall will serve as co-showrunners, while Patrick Menton and Rob Paine will co-executive produce. Menton will also serve as head of talent.
In a joint statement, American Theatre Wing president and CEO Heather Hitchens and Broadway League president Jason Laks said they were pleased to extend the partnership and look forward to the anniversary broadcast. CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach also welcomed the renewal, citing the network’s history with the awards and its plans to continue presenting Broadway performances to viewers.
