Txus di Fellatio has publicly rebuked Mägo de Oz singer Rafa Blas and guitarist Ix Valieri for taking part in a song for Fiesta pagäna, a film about the band. In an open letter posted across six Instagram posts, he accused the musicians of acting without the band’s knowledge and warned them that “outside Mägo de Oz, it’s very cold.” He did not announce their dismissal.
Di Fellatio had previously said he had not fired Blas or Valieri. His latest statement follows their involvement, through their side project On, in recording “Brinda con nosotros” for the film’s soundtrack. He has criticized the production for focusing on the band’s disputes and said he is suing production company El Sueño Eterno, claiming it did not obtain permission.
The leader also accused the pair of failing to tell the band about commitments connected to the film, including a trip to a festival in Mexico to present it alongside former Mägo de Oz singer José Andrea. According to Di Fellatio, they also said they would miss a show in Italy, leading to its cancellation and jeopardizing a possible tour there. He said he persuaded the other musicians not to dismiss anyone or put the rest of the tour at risk.
Di Fellatio further criticized Blas and Valieri for prioritizing On and for, as he put it, taking individual credit for the group’s Latin Grammy nomination. He said he had never opposed members having side projects, but argued that the musicians had treated Mägo de Oz unfairly despite the stability and recognition it had given them.
He urged them to reconsider their actions during the band’s contracted tour, which runs until October 2027. The dispute comes as the musicians’ participation in the film’s soundtrack and promotional events has drawn his public opposition.
