Yaeji has released “DDR,” a new single made with Enayet and K Wata and issued through XL. Inspired by Dance Dance Revolution, the track is accompanied by a footwork-heavy video directed by Giseong Jun.

The song is Yaeji’s first release of 2026 and continues her run of standalone singles following her 2023 album With a Hammer. It follows last year’s “Pondeggi” and “Booboo2,” her collaboration with Underscores and Aliyah’s Interlude.

In the YouTube caption for the track, Yaeji described imagining a “dance dance revolution” as a response to a suffocating world. She connected the idea to people sharing a dancefloor, looking after one another and moving through their own introspective experiences alongside the music.

Yaeji will celebrate the release with an all-night DDR party at Paragon in Brooklyn on Friday, November 6. DJ Swisha, OSSX, Lil C and DJ Noir are also scheduled to perform.
