JISOO has announced “Sun Showers,” an original song she co-wrote for the soundtrack of The Angry Birds Movie 3. The track is expected to feature in the film and its upcoming trailer, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film is scheduled to arrive in theaters on Dec. 3. Artwork for the song will feature “Shumon,” a small dustball character JISOO drew in middle school.
JISOO said the song aims to reflect the movie’s playful, bright energy with a feel-good sound. She also described creating music for an animated film as a deeply meaningful experience and said she hopes audiences enjoy hearing it during the holiday season.
Directed by John Rice, The Angry Birds Movie 3 features a voice cast including Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Emma Myers, Rachel Bloom, Walker Scobell, Danny McBride, Marcello Hernández, Tim Robinson, Anna Cathcart, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Nikki Glaser, MrBeast, Salish Matter, Psalm West, Sam Richardson, James Austin Johnson, Lily James and Keke Palmer.
JISOO, a member of BLACKPINK, released “Click” in September and followed it with “Addicted” in October.
