John Legend’s new song “Get Ready” is featured in a clip from the upcoming Peanuts special 12 Days of Snoopy. The clip premiered on Rolling Stone, ahead of the special’s Nov. 13 debut on Apple TV+.
Produced by Raphael Saadiq, the piano-led track pairs a sound reminiscent of Vince Guaraldi’s music for Peanuts specials with a soulful, brass-inflected arrangement. Legend sings about Santa preparing for Christmas and the effort to make his “good list.”
In the clip, Snoopy gets into a snowball fight with Woodstock that quickly spirals out of control. The scene fits the special’s story: Snoopy has landed on Santa’s naughty list and has 12 days to improve his standing.
The special will also feature “Trying to Get There,” a new song by Kamasi Washington and Leon Bridges, as well as Laufey’s cover of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”
