Kim Kardashian says she values the way women protect and support one another in All’s Fair, Ryan Murphy’s legal dramedy about a group of divorce lawyers. The series’ second season had its world premiere at the Rome Film Festival and is set to debut on Disney+ on November 4.

Kardashian, making her leading acting debut in a scripted series, plays Allura Grant, a determined lawyer who helped leave a male-dominated firm a decade earlier to establish a practice with colleagues. She described the show’s focus on women helping others recover and thrive as an important message, adding that they should continue to stand up for one another.

Naomi Watts, who plays the more cautious lawyer Liberty Ronson, said she agreed to join the show without first reading the scripts, based on her previous positive experiences working with Murphy and her interest in the premise. Watts said she hopes the series will encourage and engage women, particularly younger viewers.

Allura is ambitious in her professional life but vulnerable in her personal relationships. Kardashian said the character is trying to learn from past mistakes and set firm boundaries. Watts described Liberty as having become someone different and more unpredictable.

The cast also includes Glenn Close, Teyana Taylor, Matthew Noszka, Caua Reymond, Sarah Paulson and Niecy Nash-Betts. Paulson said the new season brings changes in relationships, power dynamics and alliances among the characters. Nash-Betts, whose character Emerald J. Greene-Ball is still searching for the person behind the violence she suffered in the first season, said the role allows her to show both a tough courtroom presence and a different side in family life.
