Tinashe urged her fans to vote in the 2026 midterm elections on Tuesday, Nov. 3, posting “VOTE OR DIE! LET’S GO AMERICA” on X alongside blue heart emojis. When one fan criticized the post for alienating Republican listeners, the singer replied, “Y’all can go.”
Another fan argued that Republican supporters had helped her career and said they would stop listening to her. Tinashe responded: “I do not care.”
The election results cited in the original report showed Democrats taking control of Congress, with 54 Senate seats and 237 in the House at press time. The report also noted Tinashe’s previous public activism, including criticism of Donald Trump, participation in a Black Lives Matter protest and support for the LGBTQ+ community.
