5 Seconds of Summer surprised fans in Melbourne on Monday night, bringing The Wiggles onstage during the final song of their Rod Laver Arena concert. The groups performed together as 5SOS closed the show with “Everyone’s a Star!”
The appearance brought members of The Wiggles’ current lineup together with familiar characters Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus and the Tree of Wisdom. Original Purple Wiggle Jeff Fatt also took part.
Yellow Wiggle Tsehay Hawkins said the group was excited to join the band and celebrate Australian talent, adding that performing during the finale was “so much fun.” Fan-recorded footage of the crossover began circulating online after the show.
The Melbourne concert is part of 5 Seconds of Summer’s Everyone’s a Star! World Tour, supporting the band’s sixth studio album, released in 2025. The tour’s Australian leg has included Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, with Adelaide and Perth still to come.
The Wiggles are also touring Australia with their Sparkle! BIG SHOW, with dates scheduled across the country through December.
