Gideon Kadiri will present his book, “Come la cucina comanda,” at the Centro Pergoli in Falconara Marittima on Sunday, November 8. The chef and social media personality has more than 700,000 followers. Published by Mondadori, the 224-page book is priced at €24.90.

Kadiri’s story traces his childhood in Nigeria, his father’s death, his flight to Libya as war broke out, and his journey to Lampedusa before arriving in Falconara Marittima, near Ancona. After reaching the city through a reception community, he faced further difficulties when it closed. A family of restaurateurs then took him in and supported him as he built a new life.

With their help, Kadiri enrolled at the Panzini hotel and catering institute in Senigallia. He later gained experience in the kitchens of restaurants including Andreina in Loreto and Uliassi in Senigallia. His passion for cooking became the foundation of his professional path and his rise as an online personality.

“Come la cucina comanda” includes recipes as well as the story of Kadiri’s life and the encounters that helped shape it. His online project, “Cucinagideon,” brings together cooking, everyday life and hope for its community of followers.
